Heather

Heather is passionate about physiotherapy and has been providing expert care on the North Shore for the past 15 years. She graduated with her physiotherapy degree from McMaster University. She also holds degrees, from UBC, in Physical Education and a Masters Degree in Science where she specifically studied knee osteoarthritis and the effectiveness of bracing.
Heather has an extensive sport background both as a participant and as an athletic trainer/physiotherapist working with provincial and national athletes/teams. She has worked with field hockey, rugby, soccer, and ice hockey. She was a physiotherapist at the 2010 Para Olympics in Vancouver. She is currently part of Tennis Canada’s Sport Science program working with their young athletes.
Heather strongly believes in treating the whole person. She considers the complete picture to get to the cause of your injury. She empowers her clients to recover through education, exercise and movement retraining. She uses manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, exercise therapy, postural education, taping and modalities to help her clients become pain free. She treats patients with all types of muscle and joint injuries and has a specific niche treating shoulder injuries.
